Nutritional yeast flakes are made from the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, which is inactivated by heat treatment and drying. Benefits and effects: Protein accounts for almost half of the energy content of nutritional yeast flakes. It is high-quality protein containing all nine essential amino acids. They contain a small amount of fat and even less sugar.
Ingredients: nutritional yeast, barley malt extract.
Suggested use: Nutritional yeast flakes are primarily used for seasoning. Their natural flavor, without any added seasoning, is somewhat reminiscent of Parmesan cheese, making them suitable for a wide range of uses, including pasta dishes, soups, mashed potatoes, homemade breads and pastries, biscuits, and salads. Mix with cold-pressed oil and herbs to make a delicious spread that can be served on toast.
