Corn is one of our oldest grains. It originates from Central America, where indigenous peoples made use of it in many ways. Cornmeal is a coarser grind of corn kernels than flour, and it can be used in a wide variety of ways.
Uses: Cornmeal can be used in a wide variety of ways. Its neutral flavor makes it suitable for both sweet and savory dishes.
It can be used to make porridge, cornmeal mush, polenta, pizza dough, desserts and soup toppings, and can also be used for breading and making fillings.
