Naturally brewed Japanese miso with a twist, Clearspring Organic Japanese Chickpea Miso is made according to a delicious soy-free recipe by our third-generation producers in Nagano. Use it just like our signature miso, to make miso soup or enrich the flavour of stews and sauces.
This miso is 100% organic, GMO-free, fermented, live, unpasteurised and suitable for vegans. It is made using the same traditional Japanese method as our flagship Organic Brown Rice Miso, by a third-generation family producer in Japan's Nagano Prefecture. Available in a 150g jar, it offers a smooth, rich flavour that perfectly balances the nutty sweetness of chickpeas with the umami-rich taste of traditional miso. It is also incredibly versatile. Use it to make miso soup, stews, casseroles, vegetable dishes and dressings, or as a seasoning or glaze.
