Plant origin: Madagascar

Extraction method: Steam-distilled from the roots and rhizomes of vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides).

Botanical background: Vetiver is a type of grass that grows up to 2 metres tall, with roots that reach 3 metres deep.

History: Vetiver originates from the tropical and marshy regions of India. It is used to weave scented carpets and mats, and is also an ingredient in perfumes with a masculine scent.

Suggested use: To scent a room and create a pleasant atmosphere.

Precautions for use:

Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. This product is not recommended for children under 3 years of age, or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is safer to avoid applying cosmetics containing essential oils to the skin before sunbathing or using a tanning bed. Do not apply undiluted to the skin. Essential oils are recommended for external use only.
