Originating in south-central Italy, its name comes from the word “fuso,” meaning spindle. It consists of three spirally twisted strands, making it excellent at holding all types of sauce. Traditionally, it was wrapped around thin wires or knitting needles and then dried. An excellent base for any sauce, pasta salad, or even soup.
