Warnings and interactions: This product must not be taken in case of known hypersensitivity to the active or excipient ingredients (metal allergy), severe renal impairment, or diseases caused by disorders of iron or copper metabolism (haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis, Wilson’s disease). Patients with liver or biliary tract disease should take it with particular caution, since most trace elements are excreted in the bile and their elimination may therefore be impaired. Concomitant use with other products containing iron or trace elements should be avoided. Regular use of certain painkillers (acetylsalicylic acid, indomethacin) may inhibit iron absorption. Some diuretics (furosemide, thiazides) may inhibit zinc absorption, while others (ethacrynic acid, thiazides) may inhibit magnesium absorption; acid-reducing medicines may inhibit iron absorption, while antibiotics of the tetracycline class may inhibit the absorption of certain trace elements.
