Screw the caps back onto any remaining bottles so you can use them again in the future. 2.) Apply the mixture to dry hair. 3.) Distribute the mixture throughout the full length of your hair. Start applying at the roots and work toward the ends. Use a comb to distribute the mixture evenly. 4.) Leave the dye on for 40 minutes. For root touch-ups, apply the mixture to the regrowth and leave the dye on for 40 minutes. Once the processing time is over, gently massage the mixture with lukewarm water until it lathers. Rinse your hair thoroughly until the water runs clear. Shampoo your hair. For best results, use Herbatint or another organic shampoo, rinse, and towel-dry your hair.
